Found the perfect solid wood dresser in the basement of an estate sale and stripped it down. Stained it to match the crib and hand painted the wooden knobs. A labor of love ...he'll be here soon!

As a kid, my room would be cluttered with paintings and papers and projects. My parents would bag up the "trash" when I went to stay with our grandparents for a week in the summer.

I was excited as a kid when I saw my clean room, but I didn't consider the meaning behind it. I don't remember anything being saved... so there was no value in what was there?

Did you have this experience as a child, or do you clean your kid's room while they are away?

I don't beat myself up over my cluttered office. As I learn more about how to manage my ADHD, I'll be able to have my stuff in a system that makes sense to me. And which things I want to upcycle or recycle on my own terms.

Inspiring private viewing of Max Beckmann prints at @stlartmuseum sponsored by @stlartistsguild. What an amazing resource we have in STL.

This work was created in the post-WWI Germany, Expressionist movement intending to depict cynicism, alienation, and disillusionment.

I learned about drypoint printing and how Beckmann used the process to refine his images. I can relate to the urge to tweek and change things in an image. And feeling like, is it ever really done?

Do you doodle? For me, it's a mindful relaxation technique. I have a basic sketch of something and just start filling it in with little lines and scratches. Am I seeing the inside of a petal or the outside of another? Yes. What do you doodle while you're sitting on a Zoom call?
